Coastal walks tend to be better with a dog along. At Crown Cove House, we welcome one large dog or two small dogs, so your usual walking companion can join you for a few days by the sea.
There’s a £20 dog charge. Add your dog details when booking so we can include the right charge in your total.
Make yourselves comfortable
We provide dog blankets for use on the furniture, so your dog can settle beside you without anyone worrying about the upholstery. Please use the blankets whenever your dog is on the furniture.
The space has its own courtyard, enclosed when the gate is closed. Please keep the gate shut and supervise your dog outside.

Walks to suit your stay
The seafront is close by, with plenty of scope for a walk followed by a well-earned sit-down. Ask us about local routes and suitable places to stop with your dog.
Seasonal restrictions apply on Lowestoft’s South Beach from 1 May to 30 September. We’ll help you work out which nearby stretches and routes are suitable for your dates. Please also follow the signs on the beach and promenade.
A few simple house rules
We want dogs and their owners to feel welcome. To keep things comfortable for everyone:
- Bring no more than one large dog or two small dogs.
- Don’t leave dogs alone in the space or courtyard.
- Use the supplied dog blankets on furniture.
- Keep the courtyard gate closed.
- Clear up after your dog.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome, with no pet charge. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you during your stay.
Need someone to keep your dog company?
We’ve looked after guests’ dogs before and may be able to help during your stay. Please ask in advance so we can discuss availability and arrangements.
Dog sitting needs to be agreed with us before you make plans that depend on it. This is especially useful to check if you’re heading to a festival or another event where your dog can’t join you.
Pack the lead. We’ll put the blankets out.
