A little place by the sea, all to yourselves.
Our refurbished space gives you your own corner of Crown Cove House, a detached Victorian family home on Kirkley Cliff. You have a private entrance, separate kitchen-diner, bathroom and enclosed courtyard, with the beach, Kensington Gardens and tennis courts close by. We live in the main house, so there’s usually someone nearby if you need a hand.
It’s best suited to two adults, with room for up to two small children if you’re happy with a snug family setup.
A living room by day. A double bed when you want it.
The main room combines your living and sleeping space. The double pull-down bed, sometimes called a Murphy bed, is straightforward to lower and put away, and you’re welcome to leave it down throughout your stay.
Your living room and bedroom are the same room; there is no separate bedroom. Take a look at the photographs showing both layouts so you can picture how the space will work for you.
Cotton bed linen, extra pillows and blankets, room-darkening blinds and central heating help you settle in. There’s a 50-inch smart TV for an evening on the sofa, plus board games if you fancy putting the remote down.

Breakfast at your own pace
Your kitchen-diner has an electric cooker and oven, fridge, freezer and microwave, with a kettle, toaster and espresso machine. Cookware, crockery, cutlery and a dining table give you what you need for breakfast, a proper meal or a takeaway served on actual plates.
We don’t provide breakfast. Make your own at whatever time suits you, or take a look at our local cafés and breakfast spots.
There’s a step between the kitchen and the living room.
Your own bathroom
The space has its own bathroom, entirely for your use during your stay.
It has a brand new, modern full-size bath with an integrated shower, so you can take a long soak or a quick rinse. There's plenty of hot water, and a hairdryer is provided.
All towels and flannels are provided, along with luxury soaps, shampoo and the rest — just remember your toothbrush!
A courtyard of your own
The courtyard is for your exclusive use, with a bistro table and outdoor seating for a morning coffee or a little time outside. It’s enclosed when the gate is shut, so please keep it closed if you’re staying with a dog.
A barbecue, firepit, beach equipment and kayak are available for guests. Ask us about arrangements, suitability, fuel and any charges before making plans to use them.
Bringing the children?
Families with up to two small children are welcome. Children sleep on foldaway beds in the shared living and sleeping area, so floor space is limited when all the beds are in use.
We’ve welcomed many families who have enjoyed the setup. Speak to us if you’d like help deciding whether it will suit yours.
A travel cot is available on request for an additional charge. Please ask about availability, the cost and how the cot fits into the layout before booking.

A lovely place to stay in a perfect location so close to the beach. Literally a short walk across the road past the tennis courts which we made use of aswell.
